Happy Birthday Mama!

Yesterday was my mom's b-day. She's a phenomenal lady! It's incredible to think of all the things she does and is. She takes care of everyone in my family; my siblings, my grandparents, and even some of my aunts and uncles ;)
She's so selfless and concerned about others before herself. She serves everyone she knows and is going going going all the time to help others.
She's fun and hip and totally with it! She's the best dress, funnest, coolest mom! I feel so blessed she's my mom! She's influenced my life in so many ways and I'm grateful for her example, friendship and love.
Happy Birthday, Mom! I love you!

Ooooouuuuccccchhhhh!

My back hurts SO bad, I'm seriously considering reintroducing this into my diet:
I don't know how they do it, but somehow it just takes the pain away. Maybe it's in my head. Maybe I'm just tempted because I've gone almost 7 months without a soda (except for one time I accidentally took a sip of Kristy's Sonic Diet Coke when my Lemonade was sitting in front of it... I promise it was an accident; ask her).
I'll get through! Maybe the 800 mg of ibuprofen I took 5 HOURS AGO will kick in sometime soon!!!

Introducing...

BRODY DUSTIN TRAIL
7/20/2010
He's our new little buddy. Isn't Jen lookin fantastic post-labor? I'm impressed by all of my sisters and how fabulous they look minutes after they give birth to their little angels. They've really set a high standard.
Decked out in John Deere. He's a little peanut, but he's a cute one, that's for sure! I can't wait to hold and snuggle my new little buddy when we go to Colorado next weekend.
This is the cute little swing that we sisters got Jen/Brody.
These are a few of the pictures that I have so far. I'll be sure to take more next wknd of Baby Brody and my favorite twin babies too! So excited!!

Hopeful!

The last day of June, Collin and I put in our "2 months notice" to our landlady, Mary. We've lived in the basement of her charming Historic Center Street home since we got married. When we leave, we will have lived their for our entire 18 months of marriage aka pure bliss. ;) (yes, we're still annoyingly, disgustingly in love... but I do like to play that up a little too over the blogosphere...it's too fun) ANYWAY... I was hesitant to put in our notice without finding a new place to live first, but anything that we found in June/beg of July was only available immediately. We have been looking for something larger. More Space. For 18 months, we've been crammed in the 1-bedroom basement. It's become cluttered and tight. But, we've loved it. We're just ready for a change. 2 bedroom townhouse was the goal in our minds but really I was just trying to find something bigger that wasn't too expensive but not a dump either. Long story shorter, I think I've found a place. When I went to work at Hallmark for the sidewalk sale, even though I didn't have the greatest attitude about it initially, it ended up being a good thing. I got to meet up with a few girls I'd worked with before and meet a few new ones who are adorable too. Sam, the sweetest girl, told me to get in contact with her management. I did, but at the time there weren't any units available. A few weeks later, said lady called me up and told me they have an opening and its ADORABLE!!! I'm drooling over the listing on KSL and am almost positive we have dibs on it before anyone else, since said lady called us first. I'm just hoping and praying it all works out. It's closer to my work, which is great for me, but a little farther for Collin. I am hoping that it will be perfect for us. Hopefully more to come on this beauty later.

Remember that one time...

I used to blog! Those were good times. I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with my head chopped off. I don't feel like I've been that busy, but time's been passing so quickly lately. Here are a few things that we've been up to as of late; I'll hope to blog about some of them soon.
  • 4th of July in Island Park
  • Sawtelle Stampede 5K
  • Yellowstone (saw 5 bears on our jaunt, but no juice in the camera battery)
  • Wknd work with Hallmark during the Sidewalk Sale
  • Tennis with Nat/Matt
  • Unsuccessfully, Frantically looking for a new apt/townhouse to move into in Aug/Sept
  • Working Out/Training for the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay in October
  • Just finished reading Hunger Games with Collin (out loud), about to start Catching Fire
  • Working
  • Visiting Brooke and new baby Brady who is ADORABLE with his thick dark hair

Just a few things, I guess. Some pictures illustrating a few. Just a small taste of what we've been up to.
