When I was single and clearly NOT saving money, I would get my nails done every 3 weeks by my favorite nail girl, Hilary! She was fabulous! She did them exactly how I loved them, and I felt so pretty and feminine all the time, thanks to her. (if you're looking for someone in the provo/orem area, let me know.) The last time I had my nails done was for my wedding... 7 and a half months ago.
Ever since then, I have tried to be more responsible with my spending, and to possibly make up for my lack of financial responsibility while single. Also, before getting my nails done for all those years, I was an awful nail-biter. I was always busy, or going from one place to another, nervous or pensive about something. Hence...nail-biter. I would frequently hear the words or Sheri Denney ringing in my ears, "just bite one hand. then narrow it down to just one nail." Such a surrogate mother thing to say.
Anyway, long story shorter, I've been doing my best to not bite my nails. And I'm so happy I have because I have a new found love for nail polish. Bright Red! So even though I don't my nails done, and I don't get to go get manicures, I do get to get better at painting my nails. Much cheaper hobby! :) Collin told me he'd paint my nails sometime too (as I was complaining about how hard it is to paint my right hand with my left). So, we'll see how that goes!

ok, i know this is so weird, but i've NEVER had acrylics. i think it's because i love painting my nails too much. Painting with your left hand will become easy soon enough, practice makes perfect :)

I had to give up getting my nails done when I got married too. Dang. I'm AWFUL at painting my own nails though! The cool thing is that when I am pregnant I have fantastic nails that just grow so long and healthy. Maybe you will have the same luck.

The right hand is sooo hard for me to paint too! I can't do red because it looks so bad on my right hand...I am pretty impressed with yours! They look great! Also add me to your blog when you go private :) Thanks!

Its fun to read your blog! I saw on facebook that you had one! It sounds like things are going well for you! Clay and Natalie came up a couple of weekends ago and it made me miss our old mafia days! Hope things are great! PS I love the red nails! Being a nurse is the pits when it comes to things like that.
Oh, my funny! I was randomly checking up on you and there you are ranting and raving being my sugar mama talking all that good stuff about my nails. I have to say I am myself into short colored nails these days so I LOVE YOUR RED! I have been doing it in acrylic so it doesn't rub off and such on myself and clients. I am so proud of your non-biting! Look at those pretty hands. I grumble about doing my opposite hand all the time too and Quin will offer to do it (in acrylic, that would be fun). I sure miss you a lot. Keep this blog going so I can stalk you for sure! :)
